We have also tried that, he loves fruit snacks, so we tried it with that, we just used solid colored blocks, red, blue, green, and yellow. Again, he didn't grab the right one. We even tried upping the prize, moving up to a sucker, and then to a new hot wheel car. He still doesn't grasp it. My fiancee tells me he is just too young, but I think he is the right age to know a few, right?

We do exactly that. We've bought different colored trucks and dinosaurs, his two favorite things, and we will sit and play and say "Can I have the red dinosaur?" And he doesn't show that anything is different. They are still all green.
