I did it with Real Madrid and Spain. Think what you want to think but I studied in Madrid last year and went to the Santiago a couple of times (once for the Copa del Rey semi and once for Spain vs Colombia) so I'm definitely not a bandwagoner. To be honest I don't know why there is so much hate towards playing against Madrid or Barca. We all played 60 bucks for the game therefore we can play with whatever teams we want to play with.

If I were you I would just download the desktop version first, it's free. If you like the desktop version then buy the mobile version and vice versa.

I think of it like this. The 25 bucks is nothing in comparison to the knowledge that you are going to maintain with the app. Without Anki, this year would have been wasted in my pursuit of Spanish. So what is worse, spending 25 dollars to learn or spending a year without the app? For me you can always earn 25 dollars at work but you can never retrieve lost time.

My personal advice. BE PATIENT! I've been playing golf for 11 years and my handicap is only a six. Golf isn't a sport that can be played at a decent level in a few weeks.

There is a reason for this. I just got back from my study abroad in Madrid and one of my Spanish friends said that this is common because of the ETA. I never had any problems with Spanish police (thank god) but the reason he did this is because if that picture somehow ends up on the internet, the ETA will have a face to target.

TL:DR The police don't want to be identified because the ETA will have targets.
