TROPHY CASE

Including a motion picture. by dummystupidin funny

[–]k8tek 0 points1 point ago

That is not the same kind of stapler as the one in the film. The original one had swingline decals along the side and did not have the metal nameplate along the top.

Swingline could have at least tried. http://imgur.com/IYaFe

I had a pistol stolen in transit by UPS on its way back to Beretta for repair by Truck43in guns

[–]k8tek 20 points21 points ago

I had a problem with them. I ordered something back in 1996. Weeks went by and I finally called FedEX to find out where the package was and they give me this story about a plane crash.

In 2000, some guy shows up at my house with my package from 4 years ago. It looked like it had actually been in a plane crash. He started telling me about how he was stranded on a deserted island and the only thing that kept him alive was my package.

Needless to say, the pogs I had ordered 4 years earlier are now worthless and I looked like a jackass.

Improper amplification? Linear amplifiers on 11 meters are illegal, period. You are licensed to 4 watts unmodulated PEP on AM, 12 on SSB.

My mentally insane father finally disowned me by secaedelcieloin self

[–]k8tek 4 points5 points ago

I disowned my drunk father nearly ten years ago. I work in law enforcement and because he is a deadbeat loser, he stopped paying child support for my youngest brother who has been emancipated for seven years. He has warrants for his arrest and has for some time. The last time I actually talked to him in 2005, he promised me he would get them taken care of.

He sent me birthday cards in the past, but they have since stopped. He was never stupid enough to put a return address on them. If he had, they would be returned and I would go arrest them. They instead go on the trash.

I still need to keep a computer with an RS232 port around. USB to Serial converters don't work that well.

Not really. When the product first came out, computers ran DOS mainly so they coded programs to run in DOS. That particular line of radios was one of the few whose software actually got the upgrade from DOS to Windows.

The software that communicates with the radio was last updated in 2006. The firmware for the radio was updated 6 months ago.

Exactly. It is your fault you bought a gun without knowing what to look for. The pawn shop has no obligation to offer a warranty or accept returns. You knew that when you bought it. Next time, do some research or bring someone along that knows what to look for.

Did you really expect the pawnbroker to tell you it was broken?
