Nope, applying pressure feels just like it would normally, except that there's a wound on top... After 2 hours or so, it felt really callous, but that sensation faded over time.

It's definitely nitric acid. It was the only other acid we were using in lab besides H2SO4. It is yellow too, just hard to tell cause the pictures were taken using my phone. But the yellowness has definitely faded a fair amount.

Wow, that was an excellent analogy. Thank you so much! That really helped clear things up.

Best reason to get an e-reader. I always read in my bed and holding a heavy book awkwardly in the air is such a pain.

Ever since I bought my Kindle, I've actually noticed that I've been reading more than I used to, which I didn't really expect. It's just so easy to buy another book and start reading it, I can't help myself.
