Yes. I'd point out that mostly what we are looking at is that black people vote overwhelming for democrats every presidential election. Obama got 95% of the black vote. Kerry and Gore got 88% and 90% respectively in 2004 and 2000. White Americans are more diverse politically, nevertheless they have voted consistently as a group for the Republican presidential candidate since the democrats lost the South after civil rights of Blacks became an issue in national politics.
