See, the OT is mainly just history for us. When Jesus died on the cross, all the sacrificial and ritual laws were done away with. The only reason I believe homosexuality is wrong (but i believe it as a form of lust and lust is wrong straight, bi, or gay) is because Paul mentions it a couple of times and also about the lust thing I just mentioned. The OT has no influence on that opinion of mine. The reason God was so full of angry with His people is because they sinned against Him and the sacrifices they did only covered accidental sins (I believe this is right, I've been studying NT and haven't gotten to OT yet), but Jesus covered all sins. That's the difference. Now, we're forgiven of ALL sins not just accidental so when we repent and ask for forgiveness God forgets about our past sin. We just have to Admit we sinned, believe Jesus died and paid for it, and confess He is our Lord and Savior, and ask Him to forgive us and repent of those sins. I want you to know, a real follower of Christ will love anyone. I used to make fun of LGBT stuff all the time, but I grew up spiritually and mentally and realize labeling is all a bunch of crap and people should just love each other whether Christian, Muslim, Gay, Atheist, Black, White, etc. We're all human. Now, I myself don't believe that you're born homosexual, but that doesn't mean its a choice. Things can happen to people in early childhood that cause them to be sexually attracted to different things or genders. I know people that its happened to. Maybe a missing father image could cause homosexuality..idk what does. It doesn't matter what happened, we shouldn't persecute anyone for their beleifs, opinions, or actions.
