Check for firmware updates of both your router and the card in your desktop.

Had a buddy who couldn't connect his dell to his wireless router. We tried everything we could think of except firmware.

If you are going to get a part time job for the summer, see if you can find a butcher that you can apprentice under. Mine let me have cuts that were nearing their shelf life. It really helped me out taking home a big cut of beef, separating it, and freezing any unused portions.

A crockpot with beans, rice, mixed veggies, and a meat can last 5-6 meals easily.

While I understand your concern, we really need to think about energy 20-30 years down the road. Natural gas is still a finite source. Shortsightedness is dangerous with something like energy.

Here's the issue about laws. You don't have to like them, but you have to obey them. Are you a bad person, no. Is it smart to EVER leave your house if you are going to do an illegal substance...no.

Pick yourself up, start doing a lot of volunteer work. Take a real look at your friends. "Good time friends" and real friends are two very different things. Good luck to you.

I've been there, and now I like to believe I'm very successful in my current line of work. Here are the keys I've found that really work.

Set and hold people to equal expectations overall, and make sure they are fair.
Get your hands dirty 20% of the time with the people you supervise. See how things are from their vision.
Always take input from others, but ultimately be willing to make a decision and take responsibility for the outcome.
Give timely feedback, and never give bullshit sandwiches when the feedback is corrective.
Learn the difference between can't do and won't do for your employees. One can be fixed, one needs to go.

I would imagine it had to do with the fact he's protecting you from yourself. If he's honest and reliable, he doesn't want you breaking things that will cost you more $$$ in the long run. My guess is that if you decide to hire a replacement for him, he'll most likely make you superadmin and remove himself.
