WOW! Thank you for your thorough reply! I really appreciate the thought you have put into it. I am in Vancouver, BC, so we have relatively mild winters and summers, but although we have rainy rain winters we have plenty of sun in the summer. I love the idea of visiting a community garden that is in full swing, as well as the produce professionals. I was thinking something along the same lines as well! There is a community garden not too far from the school campus as well as an organic food store! I should probably address your commentary on the school system and say that, while I wholeheartedly agree with everything you have said about school systems and some educators...this particular program that I am developing is for a private school that uses its campus over the summer for summer camps and enrichment programs, so there are very good things about that, but it is also somewhat lucrative for them, I would imagine.
