For people like me, who finds comic book 'universes' like Marvel and DC a bit laughable, The Avengers sounded completely the opposite of what I wanted to watch. It was a bit of fun. Certainly not a masterpiece. I might see it in a store several years down the line and say, "Hey, why not." But it's nowhere near as good as Reddit seems to paint it as...

I liked them all apart from Morning Bell. It sounded to me as if they got the rhythms wrong. Everything In Its Right Place is great though.

The Director's Cut is not that different from the Final Cut. IIRC the Final Cut is aesthetic tweaks, not in a George Lucas way either, but certain things that in the old version stuck out like a sore thumb to fans and Ridley Scott.

EDIT: By the way, I love this film. It's a brilliant, thought-provoking film in my opinion.
