we're not alone in objecting to the prevailing consensus.

Everyone is a minority in some way on reddit. I never saw much funny or reassuring about SRS. Banning people for trying to discuss something or having an opposing view strikes me as exactly against what they're supposed to be for. In any case, if you're ever in the mood for a more balanced discussion of crappy things on reddit, try /r/circlebroke or /r/worstof.

Well they certainly can exist all they want. I just don't see how it helps as they're generating a lot of animosity for their cause. I'm not sure how much discussing it will help, but then again it's pretty hard to truly be oppressed on the internet.

For anyone interested, they probably use the Apple iPhone configuration utility to set device restrictions. This is only of you choose to have work email/calendars on your phone.

Here's a picture of what you can set with siri.

What happens is that you install a security profile that allows you to access your work email/calendar, but enforces device restrictions (password length, locks, number of password retries etc.) You install this yourself, if you want to. Not sure if IBM's profile now restricts Siri access, but it uses the Apple iPhone configuration utility and you can see here, a corporation could disable Siri.

Yeah I support legalizing it for all uses and don't use it. But most people going out of their way to reform hemp or medical laws are doing so with the intent of eventually getting it legalized for recreational use. Really if hemp were not related to MJ laws would people really debate it's legality so much?

I had an argument with someone about how legalizing weed would generate 1.8 B for California. All I wanted to know was how the number was arrived at. They took it as an attack on marijuana. As with people advocating hemp and medical Mj reforms, I just wish they'd admit that what they really want is for it to be legal for recreational use. Nobody would care if it was legal or not if it didn't make you high.
