Yeah, we were sitting in the library talking and he said something about being good with logic and I just leaned over and kissed him. We ended up being together for a year and a half, and had a kid, and after we broke up, we're still best friends.

I have days when I think that giving her up is the best thing that could have happened in the situation, because she was given to two women who otherwise would have had extreme trouble finding a couple who would let them adopt. They had tried In Vitro multiple times, with no success, and one of them is my boyfriend's second cousin, which practically guarantees a partially open adoption. Some days I commend myself for helping out a couple who desperately wanted a baby.

And other days I wonder how I could ever be so selfish as to give away my own flesh and blood because I wasn't ready to take care of her, and I miss her desperately. I will never love anything the way I loved her the first time I heard her take a breath, and sometimes I hate myself for giving her to someone else, because they could never love her the way I love her, and when people tell me giving her up was a selfless thing to do, I want to hit them.

So it changes, day by day.

And as for reactions, yeah, from the majority of my peers, it was negative.

Yeah, I'm a senior now. My boyfriend was there when I took the test, and we pretty much just sat there and cried for a good hour. Then we told my parents. My friends were okay with it, I guess, boyfriend and I had been together a good 7 months at the time, so it wasn't like it was a brand new relationship and people were surprised we were sexually active together. School, well, they were all pretty judgemental, to be honest. I got a lot of messages on facebook/tumblr/etc, telling me I was a whore and they hoped my baby died and that I'm fucked up, which is really ridiculous. It hurt at first, but eventually I just learned to ignore them, because if someone is cold hearted enough to wish death on a fetus that has done nothing wrong, simply because they don't like me, then they're the ones that are fucked up, not me.

Well, here I am. So either my boyfriend has magical condom-penetrating sperm, someone poked a hole in my all of condoms, or I'm the next person to spontaneously become pregnant by myself!!!

I spent a lot of time with boyfriend and cats. It helped to not be alone, most of the time. Being pregnant really gets you used to the idea of never being alone, and when I had her, it was a really strange adjustment to go back to being a solitary person. And the adoptive parents used the name me and my boyfriend wanted to name her, as her middle name.

She doesn't need any more medical care as of right now, and the majority of the bills (273K, to be exact) were mostly covered by insurance, and the remainder was split between my family and the adoptive parents.

That I was pregnant? Not really, my mom knew from the first day my period was late, that it was a possibility, because we're really close and I tell her pm everything. Besides, she had me at 19, and my stepmom had her first child at 18, so it wasn't unheard of in my family.

She was an accidental pregnancy, I definitely wouldn't have chosen to get pregnant that young. And she's no longer in my custody, although I think if I tried hard, I could most definitely have taken care of her.

I don't have definitive views thus far on socialized health care, and I think child support should be a case by case basis. What's that old phrase? "Assuming makes an Ass out of U and Me." Good job derailing, though. No, it's not OK for a woman to be forced into months of pain and needless suffering because YOU think it's not right for her to make her own decisions regarding her body and the parasite feeding off of it.

And before you get uppity over my calling a fetus a parasite, please check the definition of the word. If I were to type define:parasite into Google, I would get the definition, "An organism that lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the host's expense." Hmm, sure sounds like a fetus to me!

If you don't want kids, don't have sex. If you don't want skin cancer, don't go out in the sun. If you don't want to get robbed, don't have anything worth stealing. If you don't want to get into a car accident, never enter a vehicle. Your logic is severely flawed, and I'd appreciate it if you kept your views as far away from my vagina as possible, thanks.
