So is it time to call this a shitty launch yet? by likborin Diablo

[–]jabigmeanie -2 points-1 points ago

I would say so. I expected there to be trouble logging in, but the lack of a queue has probably exacerbated all the issues because people (myself included) feel compelled to copy/paste and make macros. Add on to that the issues with character creation, and you've got yourself a hot mess.

My Encounter with a Homeless Marine, His Wife and 4 Year Old by danmaddoxin politics

[–]jabigmeanie 0 points1 point ago

Homelessness is never a good thing. However, if it increases linearly across the board, then the percentage population of vets will remain the same. Vets make up around ~10% of the general population, so the closer the rate of homeless vets gets to that 10%, the closer we can say we are getting to resolving the problem.

This sort of thing is very fucked up, but the population of homeless vets in America has actually dropped over time from ~25% of homeless to 16%. It's not right at all, but it has gotten somewhat better.

Universities usually have a property depot where they get rid of old equipment or furniture . You might investigate that.

My parents always joked about buying new furniture, getting a/c, and installing high-speed internet when my brother and I went to college. They did. Sorry, can't help you.

How many of you are recent college grads and actually HAVE a job? If so, what is your job? by Guosterin AskReddit

I graduated in 2010. I currently work as a janitor at the school I graduated from, 40 hours a week 16/hr. This job pays for my graduate tuition out of their own pocket, so I have to keep it while also working 30 hours a week at 10/hr as an intern IT consultant. I hate my life.

On my first listen, I liked these guys a lot, but every single song follows the same format, so I quickly grew bored of them.
