Damage Calculator by Huggernaughtin Diablo

Probably this

Since his site was down, I made my own calculator based on his math. It even handles dual wielding.

Hope this helps!

one of the greatest take-aways from this is understanding how much faster +damage items increase your total dps compared to your primary attribute

i've never had any of those problems

thats true but if there is consistently no pressure inside the vessel you can basically rule out fermentation

could this work on glass by opening the lid of the airlock and picking up the inner piece to release the pressure and then dropping it back in? slight risk of oxidation, but no where near that of a hydro reading

Good points on the lid seal and the temp reading.

You must have a really constant temperature in your fermentation environment. I don't know how well that would work for me since my house temperature fluctuates quite a lot. Because of this fact, and because the temperature is upper 70s, I put my fermenter in a water tub to regulate the temp, and in that case the temp has more to do with whether or not i added ice recently.

Ok, I've got a few questions about timing, when to bottle, when to drink etc. I think I confused myself. by mathyoujohnin Homebrewing

I condition (at room temp) for a month after bottling any beer. I've never made a beer that wasn't better a month after bottling than it was 2 weeks after bottling.

you are suggesting skiping secondary all together. thats really a situational choice depending on the recipe, do you care to explain your reasoning?

Dry hopping... by CupBeEmptyin Homebrewing

[–]itsgus 0 points1 point ago

i had similar problems my first time using full leaf hops into a glass carboy, it was a terrible mess getting all those leaves into the carboy. later i learned that some people actually suggest using a food processor or coffee mill to reduce the size of the leaves making it much easier to get into the carboy as well as opening up for surface area for the hops to release their awesomeness. this could also come back to bite you when it comes time to rack out of the hoppy secondary.

or maybe next time i'll just use a bucket for dry leaf hopping instead of a carboy

Just thought I'd share my solution for keeping my fermenter cool by itsgusin Homebrewing

It was. I keep another jug in the freezer and maybe once a day, I swap them out. Thats really all it takes to keep the water bath at 70 degrees.

Shaking your Primary?? by MDWilliams03in Homebrewing

[–]itsgus 1 point2 points ago

a couple of times i have shaken my not-so-active secondary directly after racking, in order to make it bubble out some C02 in hopes that the C02 will push out the oxygen from the secondary (since it is heavier than oxygen), thereby filling the headspace with C02 and preventing oxidation.

In retrospect, the agitation most likely oxidized it to some extent.

Filming it the way they did brought out TONS of detail in the dark. If it wasn't exposed that way, the dark areas with all the ink would be solid black and we could see no details.
