I can't imagine taking a working motherboard and desoldering all of those pins and soldering in a connector like that just to achieve a better "look." There are motherboards available that have the ATX power connector facing the edge of the board. Save yourself some grief and buy one of those.

If you choose to do it yourself, get a specialized desoldering iron with the vacuum bulb mounted on it.

There are many different types. Some, like ringworm, don't itch. Yeast infections itch in some places, but not in others.
