TROPHY CASE

'The Avengers’ is officially the 9th biggest film of all time globally, passing 'Alice In Wonderland' and 'Star Wars Episode 1' by ServerGeekin entertainment

I have to weep a little when I think that mess of a movie a top ten grosser of the year, let alone all time.

I'd say start with the Empty Child & The Doctor Dances. My faves of the Ecclestone episodes.

Would someone like a can of Moxie in exchange for a can of Vernors? I want to try some now

Community moves to Friday this Fall by theminjain community

[–]inthe80s 6 points7 points ago

The X-files was in that death slot from it's start almost to the end (several seasons anyways). Friday might be a blessing, out of the firing line of BBT anyways. When Community wasn't going up against BBT they had much better ratings

Further proof she's not a woman, the adams apple and man hands should have been a dead giveaway.

I tried to find a new one, but no luck so far. I did find a new one still in the package on ebay last year, but it's the only NOS one I've spotted on ebay in three years.

I only know it from "The Pirate Movie"... which is awesome... a totally awesome award winning movie.

House cats are highly adapted to expecting care from humans: "Embedded within the naturally low-pitched purr, we found a high frequency voiced component, reminiscent of a cry or meow [...] exploiting an inherent mammalian sensitivity to acoustic cues relevant in the context of nurturing offspring." by ronocdhin science

[–]inthe80s 0 points1 point ago

When I still had cats, they provided me with more than that. They kept the mice away from my house. I don't think I've seen one person make note of the fact that the reason people began keeping cats in the first place is that they eat rodents. Even the ones that are content to sit around the house all day, unless they've got a source of lasagna.

except for all the newsletters he published in the 90s and his statements on the campaign trail and his votes while in office. those aren't proof of anything though.

Back in the day when you liked a girl she would get one of these (sort of) by albatrossSKYin shutupandtakemymoney

[–]inthe80s 8 points9 points ago

I had a couple of those. My wife's car wouldn't work properly with it because of the auto-reverse (it just kept trying to flip sides). My old Ford Mustang factory radio had no problem (also an auto-reverse deck).

I used to make a ton of mix tapes for friends and girlfriends. Now I usually just fill hard drives for folks instead. It's definitely not the same.
