These commecials are horrible. That show is a contrived celebration of all things douche.

I agree with the shoe thing. That seems like a funny thing that these players can talk about in years to come after retiring. Tackling is just malicious.

Remember though, that Lebron getting there also coincided with Wade's divorce and having a custody battle of his kids. These things might turn a lot of people into a douche.

My Analogy for "The Shaq Situation" by YourRealNamein nba

[–]iguot3388 7 points8 points ago

I noticed the racial thing to, but I don't think that means anything. It's more like leave it to the geeky square diplomatic type to keep the future hall of famer athlete ego's in check. We're all black friends here.

My Analogy for "The Shaq Situation" by YourRealNamein nba

Did anyone see last night's Inside? There's a part where EJ takes over when shaq says "I want to add something about what Chuck said" and he demands him to talk about the topic at hand first. Then after, he compliments Shaq, then the rest on their commentary. My guess is, they have been having talks about the arguments getting in the way of the commentary. EJ as the moderator has probably has been making it clear that Shaq's antics are bringing the show down.

I think it's just an instinct now. Can you imagine accidentally bumping into him at the mall?

I'm of the camp that even 82 games is too much.

They still got to the finals, not a total failure...

[–]iguot3388 11 points12 points ago

This is probably the right answer. Unless the Heat are the babies the media portray them to be, I doubt they will break them up. Look at Boston's big three, still chuggin'. I can see them maybe getting rid of Spo, but I think they just renewed his contract this year?

[–]iguot3388 15 points16 points ago

I'm just really pissed that they thought they could do 66 games in that span of time with every single athlete, commentator and expert saying it was a stupid thing to do. There's no way it didn't put undue stress on fatigued athletes that don't already over-perform in a normal season. It just all came down to greed, and because of it we have athletes that may never be able to perform at that level again.
