The way she hunted down Carmen and harassed her endlessly was wrong. She screwed up her chance, and in real life people don't get that kind of second chance, they get restraining orders for being obnoxious. And the fact that she got in after pulling those stunts when Kurt got rejected for doing perfectly and not doing anything Rachel did is what makes me really really hate her right now.

He's the guy who plays the piano for all of the New Directions' performances but never ever talks.

They appear to be taking a break with intent to get back together later in life.

THIS. So much this. Kurt has been the most put-upon character for all three seasons, even though he deserves so much better. Dumpsters, slushies, bullying, death threats, feels like no solos EVER, dad had a heart attack, crushes on straight guys, transferring schools, being cruelly voted prom queen, losing the presidential election to Brittany of all people (yes, people, she's funny, but she's a damned moron and never should have won), and then beat out of his dream school by Rachel who jumped on his bandwagon, screwed up, and irritated the shit out of people until she got a second chance? And I know I'm leaving stuff out. The only good things he's ever had happen to him are his dad and Blaine, he DESERVED THIS AND SO MUCH MORE. Screw you, Rachel Berry- screw you.

..I am never going to get over this, it's official.

Like I said above, I'm guessing maybe they want to keep Kurt around more for season 4, which I will never ever complain about, but there is no justice in the world for what just happened. I couldn't care less about the Finchel breakup, it was predictable and honestly doesn't even come close to redeeming the stupidity that just happened with Rachel getting in after everything irritating she did to bug the dean for a second audition and then Kurt not getting in after nailing his.

As the comment below me says correctly- Kurt shouldn't have needed a backup. He nailed his audition spectacularly, the judge said he was brilliant, blah blah blah. In a non-ridiculous Glee world, he would have gotten in. But I strongly suspect that next season we'll find out that he'd also applied to some other school or some Ohio college, which will allow him and Blaine to continue their relationship easier next season without so much distance to deal with and then maybe Blaine will get into a school in NY and Kurt will transfer, but that is no excuse whatsoever for what they just did to him.

My god, all the seniors got a happy ending in some way, some small or enormous triumph, except Kurt, who just got utterly crushed. AGAIN. Over and over and over again, for three seasons. Why the hell did they do that? Does he not finally deserve to succeed? I'm not sure I'll be able to get over this. And why haven't we seen any interaction between him and Blaine discussing what on earth just happened and what they're going to do and WHERE IS KURT GOING TO COLLEGE/WHAT IS HE DOING NEXT YEAR?

I'm near hyperventilating I'm so mad right now. Rachel gets every damn thing she wants always through the worst methods possible, I have absolutely no respect for her right now. I don't care if Finn breaks up for her, that does not adequately redeem what just happened. Oh my god, Kurt deserved that so bad. He is so talented and did so well and just oh my god. What is he even going to do? He never talked about any other applications!

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO MY LIFE THERE IS NO JUSTICE IN THIS WORLD OMG DID KURT EVEN HAVE A BACKUP BESIDES NYADA AND HIS AUDITION WAS SO GOOD AND RACHEL SCREWED UP AND THEN ANNOYED THE SHIT OUT OF THE DEAN UNTIL SHE GOT ANOTHER AUDITION AND THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN AND THIS IS JUST WRONG I AM SO SICK OF RACHEL GETTING EVERY DAMNED THING SHE WANTS AND KURT HAS BEEN TOO MUCH ALREADY HE DESERVED THIS WHAT THE HELL GLEE???????

Cute hair, Carole- Kurt's influence, perhaps?

Yeah, where the heck did that come from? It feels like they figured that since they haven't given Mercedes' future any plot time earlier in the season that they'll just wrap her serendipitous happy ending up with a neat little bow.

Ditto. And I even left a relationship behind for a temporary long-distance situation, just like some of these, with significantly less of a foundation together than the Glee couples. Eight months apart sucks but isn't really isn't all that bad, all things considered. I'll be very upset if they use it to break up Kurt and Blaine with everything they've already been through.

That flashback-y sequence made me smile so hard, even though it was utterly painful to watch back in the pilot. My babies have all grown uppppppppppp....

My god, I feel like I've seen this before upon reading the description, but I can't firmly place it anywhere and don't have time to do full-blown research just yet. Arbitrarily thinking of mice movies, it wouldn't be NIMH or the Great Mouse Detective, would it? And for some reason, some long-buried childhood memory wants to say that I remember a scene in The Nutcracker Prince having some effect of that sort, but that also might just be my memory reminding me how that rat scared the bejeezus out of little me.

I will be coming back to this for further research later if someone else doesn't figure it out first. Because now I need to know, for reasons.

Edit: I think I might be right with The Nutcracker Prince. This scene? You said one person who got bitten was a princess in a medieval castle setting, and she was bitten on the toe and became ugly.

Sure but there were a bunch of technicians there with Howard, and he by no means would have been able to do it on his own- as a matter of fact, we know for a fact that he spent the remainder of his life unable to replicate Erskine's work (along with everyone else in the world, including Bruce Banner's failed attempt) because Cap is still the only super soldier when the Avengers happened. So he ran the technology, but we don't know for sure whether he developed it himself, or built it according to Erskine's plans/specifications, or what- I don't get the feeling that he and Erskine had had much contact prior to Cap's transformation, judging by their interactions that day.

And clearly. He wasn't a superhero/Avenger then, he was just a little guy with a heroic soul- and like I said with the grenade incident, he still would have been capable of brave acts that saved lives. Just not nearly as much as post-transformation when his outsides matched his insides, to use a cliche.

How it should have happened by ajfrancettein funny

[–]holdontoyourtowel 3 points4 points ago

Stark Industries had absolutely nothing to do with Cap's transformation- the Super Soldier Serum was engineered by Doctor Erskine, Howard Stark just ran/monitored the machines with the Vita-Rays and whatnot while it was happening and gave him his shield. Eventually the Howling Commandos were outfitted with Stark weaponry and vehicles and stuff, but Cap's abilities have no origin with Stark, nor are his abilities what makes him a hero. The point was that he had a heroic soul to begin with (a la the false grenade incident), and was given the ability to physically manifest his bravery/patriotism/etc because he differentiated himself psychologically from those candidates that were merely soldiers in their mentality, and not heroes.

This is really late and thus going to be buried, but I was rewatching the episode and when Blaine walks on the stage carrying his chair during Big Girls Don't Cry (approx. 12:10 in), the shadowed lighting makes his shirt look like bare skin and his vest look like a tank top. I was mildly depressed despite having already seen all his outfits this episode and knowing that wasn't one of them.

...I think Blaine needs to box more often. For my sake.

I probably should have said in that first comment that I completely agree with enjoying the scene- I thought Rachel bonding with the boys was absurdly sweet, and Blaine being adorable over his comparatively petty problem nicely offset Rachel and Kurt's heavier issues. I just wouldn't have called it an easy moment considering the subjects.

I love his curls and wish they'd let Blaine use them- I was just sticking in the Glee-verse for this continuity analysis.
