After spending something like $1,500 on a bike and equipment before really getting into the sports (my first bike, if you will), I strongly recommend against going all in like that before knowing you love riding. You can end up spending a ton of money and not really use it.

The apartment had a bill for water and trash... which is pretty standard. That was maybe $15-$20 /month, but I don't really recall. It's been a couple years, so all I can specifically say is that the bills seemed about average. Definitely cheaper than what I was paying in west campus the year before, though.

I'd guess about average for the city... Electricity... $50-~$120. This is going to depend heavily if you're on the top floor (it'll be more) and how cool you like your apartment. All in all, though, I'd call it the most energy efficient apartment I've lived in. I attribute this to the shape, the direction my windows faced w.r.t the sun, and the fact that I wasn't on the top floor with averagely high ceilings.

Can that permanently do this? I moved small TV to where it was next to an old speaker, and this was happening... By chance, I moved it back, and it was mostly gone, except for a very small bit in one of the two corners affected.

Whenever I see this in scam e-mail, or whatever, I always think, "Well, is it part of their language? German does capitalize EVERY noun...." But this shit is so random. There's bad English, and then there's bad English that makes the most random capitalizations on a level one would think even the most basic automatic translators would have a better time translating.

Yeah, I felt fine. I'm not really familiar with those two murders, though. I live just east of I35 on 9th (across from Franklin BBQ, if you know that place), and I felt safer at Pecan Grove. Which isn't to say I don't feel generally safe, but there's been some crazy violent crime downtown recently, too.
