I'm British, however I've lived in Greece almost all my life. Here is how I see the situation about staying in the euro:

For the biggest percentage of the population, the result will be practically the same. For the low income families the situation is getting worse everyday, lower salaries and bigger taxes.

Stories of malnourished children, half of the youth without a job, reduced social services everywhere. So practically many Greeks are already living in a "defaulted" situation.

Considering how bad things are, there is the growing opinion that since Greece is already in this crappy situation, let's just leave the euro and start slowly rebuilding, instead of being at the mercy of the IMF and the European Commission.
