I'm one of those people that cry at SO many songs. Either because of the words, the musical structure, anything really. There's a chord change in a Radiohead song that makes me cry. Whatever. But for awhile, the whole "Time without Consequence" album by Alexi Murdouch. I just couldn't listen to it without becoming a big slobbering baby. I ended up deleting the album.

While you're looking for a book, musictheory.net is always a great site. You can customize your lessons for how advanced you are in theory. They've got a really wide range of exercises. I'm also using a good theory book right now, but totally forgot the title/author. When I head home I'll check out the title and let you know. I'm using level 5 right now, but I've heard great things about their level 1 book. Good luck!
