Wow, way to be a dick about a question. To answer I personally no longer have large plugs, but when I did I got them because I like seeing the limits of my body, I like what is generally non-permanent modification, and some permanent.

My friend has ones large enough to put two fingers through. He works in a lawyer's office making about $25 an hour as an assistant and all around helper-outter while learning about the field so that he has an upper hand when he goes back to school.

I always hate when people say y'all should have just evacuated. Floridian here, they said it to us too when my neighborhood was all but leveled after Charlie. They don't understand we're told to evacuate every year, multiple times, it becomes something you just start living with and expecting..

I wish people could make everyone understand everything. I had a couple good friends there when shit went down who kept me informed. Lost a couple too.

Someplace yes. When my friend Triforce Mike was hit his bike was trashed, but they managed to weld it together and turn it into his ghost bike. I think it's more in the South, all the ones I know of have been their bikes, but my Northern friends say they don't do that.

He was so awesome. If I'd never met him I probably would have never really come out of my shell. I interned there for a while and I'd always run idea for things by him. He never once shot them down, oh he'd be honest and tell me if he thought it sucked, but he'd never tell me not to do anything.

I was the same the day after. I called in sick so I could just sit at home crying most of the day. It's still hard to keep it together when I think about him. It still hurts way too much. I'm glad it seems so many people got to meet Mike, makes me feel kinda good knowing there's people in Orlando and Reddit who were awesome enough to call him friend and still think about him.

No, I'm 21, but still live at home as she needs help with money and I simply don't make enough to survive decently on my own. I'd be homeless and traveling fine, I don't mind jumping Occupations around the country. In fact, I'd love it, but my dog wouldn't.

Very. She jokes around with them much more nicely, or if she does get sarcastic or a little mean, it doesn't seem to bother them. She's housed friends who have been kicked out before, or driven them around, cooked massive dinner for the occupation here while I was working food team, all kinds of things. So they see this really great side of her. They don't see her screaming at me when I'm already cowering and scared. I don't really mention it to anyone because I feel like they wouldn't believe it, she's so great in their eyes.

Oh god yes. I'm bi-polar with some serious and very random anxiety induced panic attacks. When I was younger my dad tended to get angry over everything and yell all the time (he's much better now and we get along well, but he's in Iowa and I'm in Florida) so I get scared easily when some one is angry.

If I say something like "Please don't yell, it's not helping. It only scares me and makes things worse." or "When you say that I feel really attacked, it isn't funny, it hurts." then she accuses me of being too sensitive, or it's just because of my anxiety and I'm reading too much into it. I need help, I need medicine and therapy (and I do, but not for her reasons). Or it becomes "Well I guess I'm just the shittiest mom ever! How about I just don't ever fucking do anything for you, or touch you, or talk to you. Then I can't fuck up and you'll be happy! You, even better, I'll leave and you can have the fucking house to yourself. Bet you would love that."

I've been linked to that site before, and it is great, some things on there are really helpful. I just... I don't know if that's it, like if it is that level. I feel like maybe I am reading too much into it. It's not like she's always horrible, she can be really great. Just, when she's bad it's really bad.

hugs I can't imagine how hard it must have been to recover while a parent encouraged you to be sick. I'm glad you've gotten away from them. I'm really thinking just cutting her out is what I'm going to have to do. I just have no idea how to get away right now, she keeps me so dependent on pretending to have a good relationship with her.
