Star Trek: Cardinal Being Pitched To CBS Tomorrow! by Bovice1in television

Which is too bad, because while his trek movie was good, it wasn't really "star trek". It was more just a space opera action movie with trek characters and ships.

Chicago Filmmaker Produces Stunning Video of NATO Protests - Chicagoist by eisentower30in chicago

[–]geoman2k -1 points0 points ago

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's a very well done video, but omitting the people of Chicago who live there and weren't involved in the protests (the people the CPD where there to protect) really hurts the impact.

The riot cops aren't antagonists to the protesters, and the protesters aren't antagonists to the riot cops. At least, that's the way it should be.

If he really wanted to capture the protests as an unbiased observer, he should have included the faces of the store owners, the office workers and the people who live in the neighborhoods of the loop. They are most of the reason the CPD was there in force- to protect them and their property.

Oddly enough, if you're planning a trip to Rome and you want to see some of the best the city has to offer in terms of art/architecture/history, just follow Tom Hanks in Angels & Demons. It may be a dumb book, but it definitely hits some great locations.

Bernini was 23 years old when he completed this sculpture.

Twenty fucking three years old.

It's funny, because most people know Michelangelo, Da Vinci, etc, but have no idea who Bernini is. He was one of the greatest sculptors of all time and you can't throw a rock in Rome without hitting one of his masterpieces. I guess no one cares about you if you don't have a ninja turtle named after you.

It's a really cool place, especially if you find theoretical physics and stuff like that interesting. Or if you just like the prairie. When I was leaving I saw a coyote lurking around in the tall grass looking for something to eat.

They do have bison, but obviously they are kept in a farm so they don't kill anyone. Here is a picture I took of them.

I dunno, just a lot of businesses don't allow masked people inside. You see a lot of "no masks allowed" signs on convenience store doors on Halloween, for example.

Isn't it usually against the rules to wear a mask in a place of business like that?

Can't believe I had to come this far down to find AQ2. It was one of the first FPSs ever to focus on realistic(ish) weapons. I really liked the bleeding out mechanics and things like that. You could even argue that it was one of the big contributing factors to the rise of the military/realistic fps genre.
