He could be using a nostromo n52 or logitech g13. I use one and all my keybinds are 1 key - = key. Now he may just be a clicker but there are some reasons that he may have 1-9 keybound instead of other keys.

Laser sights are sensitive. So are regular optic sights, night vision goggles, thermal sights. All sorts of stuff is sensitive to the military since those sights cost upwards of 15,000 dollars a piece and they don't want every day people to have access to them.

I used to be stationed at Fort Lewis before it was Joint Base Lewis-McChord. One of the infantry units in 3rd Brigade 2nd Infantry Division lost a pair of night vision goggles and we were locked down for 30 days until we found them. They were lost in the field during a training exercise. These things happen. It's probably nothing nefarious going on, or if it is then probably someone stole some sights, for example maybe some ACOG's or M68 red dot sights.
