Cupcakes are actually called cupcakes because recipes used to be based on a cup of flour, a cup of sugar, and a cup of butter. Pound cake works on the same principle, except based on weight instead of volume.

I have seen Empire Strikes Back many, many, many times. Probably into the hundreds. I've been watching the trilogy since I was a kid.

About a month ago I realized what actually happened just before the scene where R2-D2 and C-3P0 are walking down the hall in the Hoth base, right at the beginning of the movie. And 3P0 is like 'I merely mentioned that it was cold in the Princess's chambers.' And then he says 'how we're going to dry off all her clothes I have no idea.'

That is because R2-D2 turned on the heat in her quarters and then the walls of her quarters started to MELT and that soaked everything.

Yeah. It took me probably 25 years to figure that out.

Agreed. I've been able to pay off my credit card every month for a while now but it took me forever to put the money together for the line of credit. (It was only 6% interest, so it wasn't quite as much pressure as the ~20% credit card.)

It took me not quite a year to do after I got my first real and stable job, and I'd been carrying a balance of around $7K on there for months (it had been both higher and lower than that, but I had a lot of moving expenses last year). I'm so excited to finally start saving for future goals rather than just digging myself out of a hole of debt!
