The idiot Mundine commenting on cops shooting, not the criminals or the girl they ran down, after he visited the "victims" in hospital by TOGTFOin sydney

[–]garnet_rose 1 point2 points ago

Mundine is an idiot. They pull him out every time the race card is played to make some stupid comment.

Playing the race card every single time something happens to someone who is Aboriginal shits me to tears. Do they not realise the cops probably didn't even get a decent look at the person driving, and would have done the same thing regardless of whether he was Aboriginal or not?

Am I having a brain fart? Did K-Mart stores in Australia had a food court/cafe thingie in each store back in the 1980's, or is my memory failing me? by lna4printin australia

Not as far back as the 80's, the K-Mart in Hornsby had one up until about 2001-2002. Don't ever remember eating there though.

Finally got around to making that coffee table I have been putting off for so long. What does Reddit think!? by takem2churchin pics

You better be careful, the boys from Top Gear may not like you copying them.

Neither have I. But then again I am Australian and jelly is in fact known as jam downunder, and jam is never added to a peanut butter sandwich.

My boyfriend and I are in the same boat. Sydney is pretty crap unless you have a lot of money.

People never lock their cars. They just get out and are off on their merry way!!

My friend Nico went away for 6 weeks, and the last thing she said was, "don't have too much fun without me." by iLikeghoulsGreenin pics

I have a 16 hour layover in Pudong airport in Shanghai. What should I do?! by chiraz25in travel

[–]garnet_rose 0 points1 point ago

As far as I'm aware, you can't get a visa on arrival unless you have a letter of invitation etc.... so I'd suggest finding a nice quiet corner and catching some shut eye!

What are your favourite colour combinations? by garnet_rosein InteriorDesign

[–]garnet_rose[S] 0 points1 point ago

I get quite a lot of natural light, but everything else is a bit all over the place..

The carpets are currently a disgusting light pinkish colour, but I plan to change them to a neutral grey/brown in the near future. I have a few pieces that I'd like to work around, a gun metal grey floor lamp, an Ikea Kattrup rug and a couple of wood and orange vinyl chairs.

I dare not even mention my ancient dark floral couch.. it will be replaced once funds allow it!

My first quilt! by doyouloveherin sewing

[–]garnet_rose 0 points1 point ago

I'm sure he's going to love it, and will appreciate all the work you've put into it.

Have you been working on it in secret? Or does he know you've been working on a quilt, but doesn't yet know its for him?
