this effect can come from the cameraman sitting down. I once had a picture taken of me on a couch where I was slouching. the camera was very low to the ground. it looked like my legs were 6 feet long and my torso was 3 feet long. cool effect.

in this picture I'm guessing the camera is at about her knee level.

I don't normally read lkml so I almost missed this. when snappy is conveniently available as an option (soon) I was going to use it.

I find it sad that this is the case with LZO in the kernel though.

so, if I was to use LZO now, then someone updates the kernel later, I assume I'll get a speed improvement, but not a compression improvement because I did the compression with the older LZO, right?

also, there are multiple episodes where I've caught P&T's misinformation. it took many seasons for it to happen. nobody's perfect. they employ researchers, etc. but the thing is, when I see the mistakes their sensationalist "mood" really shows.
