its a kmc kool chain. yeah its sort of two colors, the inner part is darker graphite color, and the outer links are nickel.

They are 5mm wider, and 2mm deeper. They look beefier, ride beefier. I feel a bit better about riding in the shitty streets with those on. I honestly cant tell, but I am assuming they are stiffer as well.

Im about 6 ft. I am playing with the height of the saddle, and have raised it about 1.5 inches since I took this photo. Still- Ive only just set this bike up. I have really short legs, and a normal length upper body to take into consideration as well.

Awesome. Yeah Ive said the same about getting into racing sometime, but I really think I just prefer some good old fashioned cruising. Maybe a gold sprint here and there for sport though... heh.

Thanks for the info. I am a 6 foot tall, barrelchested man at about 240lbs. haha. I never had trouble with my concept. I didnt have that very long though. I have a cinelli vai seatpost, and it is quite snug in my seat tube. Hopefully I dont develop that same issue.

I have read that these like to come loose. I dont know the veracity of those claims though. If youre looking for something cheaper and sturdy- I have a set of pryme straps.

I ride these everyday, and the quality is pretty decent. I have only been riding them for about two weeks, but I thought why not... theyre so cheap. The grey part is also highly reflective from headlights and stuff. They may not be the best looking, but they do the job for cheap.

Nope- the snake harry frees is a boa constrictor and it is described as being brown. (reread that part). Nagini is sometimes thought to be a python- but regardless is described in the book as being long and green.

I think it looks pretty dope as is. I dont know about restoring that paint, but if you want to paint it yourself, I suggest stripping it with this. I used this stuff on a bike once and it literally blew the paint off the bike! (Its really dangerous stuff, dont breathe it.)
