I never really liked movies. I feel like I'm missing out. Could anybody give me some movies that might change mind? by enoculousin movies

[–]enoculous[S] 0 points1 point ago

If this was the appeal of the movie, being weird, I would probably enjoy it. I dislike monotony, and It seems like every movie is the same:

  1. Guy has good life
  2. Something inhibits good life.
  3. Guy stops the inhibitor.

so maybe I would like something like that.

Nothing that really sticks to me but Pulp Fiction was great. Harry Potter was good when I was like 12. But not really. I also like to watch documentaries.

What's the appeal? Why would I watch these movies as opposed to others?

I find the negative aspects of the movies and they seem to stick with me throughout. For example, someone might do something that makes no sense at all, like a bartender knowing all the details of the girl that came through on saturday, just to fit the script. I will keep noticing the things that don't make sense and I lose interest.

I also find it hard to get into "the feel" of movies, like where I care about what happens to the character. Its all just script and actors to me.

Maybe I just haven't seen the right one.

I'm gonna play Dr. Phil here, and say that your'e not fooling them. People catch on to things like that rather quickly, especially if its close friends and family.

Well, there is that option. I clicked that option, and it told me that my FAFSA was incomplete, and that I would have to follow up with my financial aid office at my school. I did, and they told me I would need to fill out a "dependency override form" I really dont feel like listing the 239484230 things i have to do, but some of them are not possible.

I need an old teacher or guidance counselor to write a letter explaining my circumstances. I dont know of any. I also need a pastor, therapist, or some other reputable person to write a letter. again, i dont know of any. I also need a family member to write one. I dont really have any family. I also need copies of court documents that support my circumstances. I dont have any.

this isnt even close to all the shit I have to do.

No, he has been clean for 20something years. no alcohol, or drugs (well... weed) or anything. back in his using days he got himself quite the criminal record. even if he did have a car, he would have a hard time doing anything other than what he does now.

and yes you are right. I already loaned him $300 for 2 bus tickets about 3 months ago. he told me he would have it back the next tuesday. that didnt happen.

no this is not a first in his life. when i was younger, I lived with him, and we would get evicted, someone would help us, then we would stay with them, until they got tired of my dad not doing anything. The only reason he hasnt been homeless for years now, is because I was with him. Nobody wanted to kick a kid out in the streets. now he doesnt have me to use as an excuse, so hes screwed.

but yeah, thanks man. I want nothing more than to dig myself out of the shithole of a situation that i was born in.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_long_can_a_insurance_company_keep_a_lien_on_your_driver_license Most states have Financial Responsibility Laws that require owners and operators of vehicles to maintain liability insurance. Some states allow other ways to show financial responsibility for the payment of damages caused by you to others, such as a bond of some sort. In general, a license suspension can result from a collision in the following way: 1. Collision results in damages exceeding an amount provided by the Financial Responsibility Law 2. You are ticketed for the collision and convicted of the offense 3. You fail to voluntarily pay the damages resulting from the other car. At that point, the insurer that paid for the repairs of the car that you hit, which has acquired its inured right to collect the cost of repairs, can apply for the suspension of your license. If done then, the suspension is only for a limited period, such as 1 year. 4. If the insurer then sues you to get its money back (a process called subrogation) and wins, a judgment will be entered against you. 5. If the judgment remains unpaid for a stated period of time which varies by state (often, 30 days), the insurer can send a certified copy of the judgment and other court documentation to the driver's license authorities. Your license will then be suspended until arrangements are made to pay the judgment. 6. In theory, if you do not make those arrangements or have the judgment discharged in bankruptcy, your license will remain suspended for the life of the judgment. That period of time varies by state.

Solution to my monetary problems? nothing but hard work and perseverance on my part will fix that.

Solution to my dads homelessness? I'm sure my dad is going to have to rough it for a while, but I am sure someone will pull through and help him eventually. I just wish there was something I could do. Money is not easy to come by. And it just sucks that this is happening to my dad. Its not just some guy over the internet's dad, its my dad.
