Equality (between people), I suppose, is the notion that everyone is treated fairly, whereas justice is something that depends more upon who it might please. Of course, I do realize both of these are subjective, but I like to think that in order for people to be equal, they must be treated as the same, no matter how they look, act or how much they have. ( 1=1 in math, doesn't matter how big or colourful either of the ones are, both still have the quantity of one.) Justice, in contrast, would be more according to who is judging what is right and wrng. If someone were to commit a crime, and they were given the death sentence, some may find that just and others may find that to be too harsh. I think justice has a lot more to do with feeling and opinions than equality does.
