When you saute kale, season it (that means salt -- pepper is not a seasoning agent) right when you add it to the garlic and oil. Try adding some red pepper flake and half a lemon into the oil before sautéing the kale for additional flavor.

Another kale dish is to roast mushrooms with salt and oil until soft. Cook kale as I specified above. Cook farro similar to risotto. Combine in a bowl with bread crumbs, chive, persil, and a bit of balsamic.
