AVG vs MSE basically comes down to personal preference, I prefer MSE. Malwarebytes is always good to have in addition to whatever anti-virus software you're using, it's something you'd only run every once in a while or if you think you have malware.

Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials will get rid of just about any virus/malware on a computer.

Some malware makes it hard to install these things and disables task manager, so go get Process Explorer (fancy task manager).

If you can't run something on an infected PC, change its file name. A lot of malware prevents things named "mbam.exe" or "procexp.exe" from running but won't stop "mbamjkafk.exe" or "procexp2.exe" from running.

If you can't get to google.com on an infected PC, try google.co.uk, or google.cm.

Also, this is accurate.

Edit: Wow that's a lot of comments.. this comment was more of a "what to do before bothering your friendly neighborhood IT guy" intro to cleaning an infected PC. Generally if the above steps don't resolve an issue that is where I would take over. ComboFix, Rkill, TDSSKiller, HiJack This, unhide.exe, Kellys Korner Reg Fixes, SuperAntiSpyware, HitMan Pro, SpyBot S&D, hirens boot cd, ophcrack, mobile versions of a bunch of apps and clean versions of certain files can all be found on usb sticks on my person at any given time.

Wasps do this too, I found that out the getting stung 100 times way.

I've been stung by wasps a lot, only once by a bee.. it got me dead center of my back for no goddamn good reason at all, I was totally minding my own business when I guess he managed to fly into my shirt and freak the fuck out when he couldn't get out. Felt like I got shot in the back for a second. Bee stings hurt way more than wasp strings, but wasps sting you 5 tmes to make up for it and hornet stings are the most painful.

I live in a border city as well and I have been treated like a criminal quite a few times while crossing the border.

I know better than to treat border cops with anything other than the respect and fear a man should have of someone who has the authority to put their fingers in your butthole any time they want for any reason they can think of.

Answer their questions - even if they're ridiculous, some of their questions are supposed to be ridiculous. It's not about the question, it's about whether or not you start acting like a 'terrist when they ask you some ridiculous shit you couldn't have prepared for.

Don't touch cops, ever, for any reason.

Don't complain about anything, they do not care about your opinion. In fact, don't even say anything at all unless you're answering questions. Telling a cop their shit's ridiculous is just going to piss them off. You don't want to piss off a guy that can look inside your butthole if he wants to.
