The artist is Justin Van Genderen (http://www.2046design.com/), but he doesn't seem to be selling prints of it. At least, not anymore.

I was visiting some friends in LA, and we were driving down some highway and a friend goes, "Oh, that's the Scrubs hospital over there". I yelled "PULL OVER!"

Best I could find:

http://www.moniteausaddleclub.com/strange_pics.htm

"Timber merchant Jens Braun built the unusual furniture as a shelter for his horses."

No verification on where THAT info came from, but it's the closest I could find. If it's true, he's just a timber merchant with a sense of humor, not an "art project".

I was on an episode of Celebrity Apprentice last season (season 11, episode 11). I was working on a design on my laptop, and Lil Jon leans over my shoulder, looks at it, and says "Yeah man, that shit's gangsta." I called my girlfriend after they were done taping and I said "LIL JON SAID MY SHIT WAS GANGSTA!!!"

I once put toothpaste onto my Mach 3 razor. I brought it up to my mouth, but realized my mistake before I started violently shredding my gums. I bought a coffee maker a day or two later.

Avengers cameos / easter eggs? by Ant-Manin movies

[–]eightballart 0 points1 point ago

This is the second movie where they've shown the "Oracle" logo (the other being Iron Man 2). While I'm fairly certain it was the logo for the real-life hardware/software company, Oracle is ALSO the name of the company that Namor headed up in the early 1990s called Oracle, Inc.

My girlfriend said "There's a spider in the bathroom. Since he's alive, we can assume that he's earning his keep by eating other insects, right?" I said "Honey, I appreciate your logic, but spiders can live for weeks without a meal, and unless I see an accurate Death Tally on what this spider has killed lately, he's an enemy combatant until proven otherwise. Squish him."

IMDB is a lot like Wikipedia in the sense that it can be edited by a number of people, it's not always the 'official' casting names.

He was also in the movie Red Dawn and is famous for the quote "AVENGE ME!", which I'm pretty sure is why Whedon chose him for that cameo role.

I know, right? What if that just happened to the lab pet (or "pet lab", ha ha!), and he'd hang around the scientists all day while they were doing calculations and mixing potions and stuff?

Anyone know a way to touch up the white reflective paint on a greenie license plate? Mine is fading and I don't want to have to give it up. by limbodogin boston

[–]eightballart 2 points3 points ago

What he said. Putting ANY paint on a license plate (even if it's to make the plate/numbers more readable) is illegal, and they'll fine you for it. The way they see it, why should they allow you to extend the life of your plate a little longer when they could make money by charging you for a replacement? Even the people who put red nailpolish on the red letters get in trouble.

That being said, you could probably try Rustoleum's Reflective Spray Paint. I think they sell it at Home Depot, West Marine, places like that. Mask off the areas you DON'T want to be painted (use masking/painting tape), give it a coat, let it dry, see if it needs another coat.

One of my first bands finally had our first gig lined up. We were starting off with a cover of REM's "It's the End of the World as We Know It". Family, friends, schoolchums, all kinds of people in the audience. The intro drum roll to the song finishes and...the singer forgets the first line. The music's playing, and he's just standing there, wide-eyed, staring at the back of the room.

We made it through a few more measures, then I came in with "That's great it-" and he immediately picked it up from there, but man, that was awkward. We had been practicing that song for WEEKS, he never screwed up a line during rehearsal. Go figure.
