    Three-Year Club

Tim Duncan, the greatest power forward of all time. 4x champion, 3x finals MVP, 2x NBA MVP, 13x all star, 9x first team all NBA, 8x all defensive first team, rookie of the year, college player of the year, the list goes on and on by manutebol69in sports

Making millions of dollars has no bearing on whether or not a player is prepared to play in the NBA. They suckered a GM into a huge contract, nothing more. My point still stands.

I never said the NBA doesn't help, but there are far more cases of a player being thrust into a role on a team that they are completely unprepared for and being lost for the rest of their career (see Kwame Brown, Eddy Curry, Corey Maggette, I could go on for paragraphs), than those that do well (like Kobe, KG, Dwight Howard [who by the way may have developed the physical talents, but clearly demonstrated his immaturity this season by trying to blow up his team and get his coach fired]).

Edit: Correction, actually did get his coach fired.

Surprised the OP doesn't mention he also attended all 4 years at Wake Forest. And people try to say college doesn't help groom players for the NBA anymore.

Not sure if OP was creator, but protip in this situation: When you have sticks to shoot with (which I'm assuming you had to), close down your aperture a bit so that those background characters are in sharper focus. You've got plenty of shutter time to work with, no reason that those other things have to be blurry.

Different genres here, I know, but Family Guy seemed to me to be very similar to this situation. I remember the cry for it to return being so loud that when it actually did come back, there was no way it would ever fulfill.

Capital Metro Bus Hit By A Nick by rseandrewin videos

[–]ehnonnymouse 0 points1 point ago

Guy acted like a complete asshat, ran out in front of a bus, probably freaked the fuck out of the driver in the process. If he died or was seriously hurt his dumbass parents would have likely tried to litigate, regardless of what this video shows as clear proof it was totally his fault.

But yeah, good to know he's laughing it off.

[–]ehnonnymouse 0 points1 point ago

You're still proving my point. Someone sends you a "friend request" that you haven't spoken to in years. Maybe I'm just cynical, but real friends would at least have the common courtesy to hit you up on the phone, or at the very least over email. If they don't have either of those things, then they probably aren't worth talking to anymore.

Facebook is the lazy fake way to pretend you want to reconnect with people. It has a search function for crying out loud.

What sports leagues are the most balanced? What teams are the most dominant? A global comparison. by dwu2in sports

[–]ehnonnymouse 1 point2 points ago

This is hardly what I would deem a good way to label "dominant" teams. The Montreal Canadiens have not been dominant, even relevant per se in 30 years.

Call me crazy but I still will never understand these C/P Facebook posts. Well, not only that I just can't stand FB, but why on Earth you would even be friends with someone like this in the first place. You either A. Don't know this person well enough that they would have beliefs you obviously don't agree with, or B. Don't give a shit at first, or at least long enough that you added them to your "roster" of "friends".

tl;dr: If you have "friends" like these, you deserve it.
