If anything, /r/thelastairbender is helping Nickelodeon with this. The streams that are provided help people outside of the US who have no chance of watching it otherwise. This includes iTunes and Netflix and the like who only provide downloads to Americans. That means more people are watching the commercials that help fund Korra. This also creates hype when a person from Germany tells his friend about this awesome show. That friend (who never would have watched it) now has a better chance of buying the DVD's when they finally arrive.

You know how Episode 4 was leaked online a couple of days before it aired? Yea, that episode had the highest ratings amongst non-premiere episodes. The premiere episodes were released online a week before they aired and it was the highest rated premiere for Nickelodeon in three years.

EDIT: Also, ignoring the premiere, here are the other episode ratings:

Episode 3 = 3.55
Episode 4 = 4.08
Episode 5 = 3.78

Notice how Episode 4 has significantly higher ratings than other episodes. Note that episode 4 was the only one to be leaked online a couple of days before it premiered. I know correlation does not imply causation, but it's interesting to say the least.

Fuck prom. I went to prom, and it was complete bullshit. It was the same as any other dance except our parents pay a bunch of money for fancy suits and dumb pictures of us all standing in line. I hate all these fake moments that people try to make memories out of.

Ok, fine. I barely had a social life and didn't have many friends. My mom was planning to go out to the local diner with me during prom because she expected me not to find a date. Doesn't matter much, my date didn't even dance with me during the slow dance part. She conveniently "had to go to the bathroom" right before it started.

The costume looks great! But if you want my honest opinion, if you really want to look like Korra, you should start working out (if you haven't already). /r/fitness is a great place to look at workout regimens and stuff like that. You already have a similar build to Korra so you'd be a perfect match.

I'm sorry, but isn't that unfair? So just because she's wearing a more revealing outfit she's "skankified"? Isn't that equally sexist? We've had posts here with Mako shirtless and everyone was fine with that. There is nothing wrong with someone sexualizing a character they find attractive.
