At some point he decided it was more fun drawing the monastery cat apparently chasing the monastery dog, and even a sketch of one of his classmates of perhaps himself. Because this page was part of a book, he was surely punished for writing in it, but it has survived more than a thousand years. I do not believe it has ever been photographed before.
