When I have to de-flea a cat/kitten. I get a bucket of water and put the cat in it. It's best to have a towel in the bottom too so they have something to sink their claws into, to feel safer. Basically you want to put them in up to their neck. Get them wet, take them out, put on flea shampoo put back in, as you are rinsing/holding them in the water, any fleas that survived the shampoo will crawl to the head, just watch and pick them off until you don't see anymore for a while. It's not fun for the cat, but neither is being eaten up by fleas, this way it's quick and you get it over with. I'd advise against too much kitten milk, depending on age.

I can't really remember, we got our first computer in 1993 (I was 21), before the Internet really. I would dial into BBS (bulletin board system) to chat with people. They were mostly rude, horny men on there. So the Internet was an amazing difference.

Got that bike ride in this evening after dinner, showed my 14 year old the best route to the high school! Can't believe he's starting summer classes there as a Freshman! But I digress, the bike ride was invigorating!

As a child I would just sprinkle sugar on white bread and eat it. I would put sugar in my milk too. It's a good thing I was an active child with a high metabolism!

Yea, I think it's pretty common here in the States too, but I still get weird looks from waitresses when I ask for mustard. They always bring ketchup (if it's not already on the table) but never the mustard!

My hubby did it 20 years ago. He started at a company with a computer dept, but he worked in the warehouse and worked his way into the computer dept by talking to the right people. He got in, took classes here and there and continued to do so at every job. Good luck!

Thanks for this. I thought about a bike ride this morning, but took a nap instead. But then I got up and folded laundry and am about to do Wii Fit. A morning bike ride does sound nice, it's not hot out yet and gives you a great start to the day. I'll try again tomorrow!

I faked a miscarriage. I felt bad about it. It felt odd to tell such a huge lie. I was 16 & stupid. I did know a girl in high school who faked a pregnancy, she got to about "4 months along" and then just acted like it never happened.

My dad was in the Navy, back in the late 60's. He got out just before vietnam. He went to Antartica. They did initiations when they crossed the equator and international date line. They were gross, I'll tell ya if you're interested. Do they still do that? Did your ship do it?

I did vaccinate my kids, they were babies when the mercury scare started so I did ask for shots without mercury. Their pediatrician rolled her eyes told me they were all safe but complied with my request. She did say non mercury shots were for people who were on Medicare or had no insurance but she didn't say why. Honestly I just wondered if t was b/c kids with insurance could afford a bigger risk, but I don't know. It is strange, if mercury is save why even make some without? I guess for freaks like me who scare easy. But my kids did get every shot on time.

Every man I ever dated, excluding my husband (as far as I know) cheated on me. It sucks, it hurts, but I've learned that it's not about you, it's them. They have the problem. If you harbor hate, you are still allowing them to keep a hold of you. Leave her and move on. Knowing you did the right thing will ease your pain. That's all you can do in life, you can't predict stuff like this, you can only control how you deal with it.

I recently discovered a great salad. Ingredients last b/c you only use a little of each and it's really filling. A bit of green leaf lettuce, a bit of spinach leaves (you won't even taste it), shredded carrot and cabbage, cucumber, cut up apple, cran-raisins, tortilla chips (salad ones are thin and curvy), and/or crutons. Naturally you can vary it but the basic idea is that you get healthy greens and veggies and fruit with sweetness and crunch all in one bowl and it is delicious. I put Ranch dressing on mine.
