stop unplugging you're phone when its done charging, its perfectly safe to leave it plugged in. ive done this with all my smart phones, htc winmos, blackberries, and evo 4g android. ive never had any batteries go bad or have significantly less charging capabilities.

how about getting rid of the server? ive been using sipgate and sipsorcery to convert google voice into sip, now i can use any sip client/ata box to tx/rx calls for free for a few years now

the https protocol is secured by tls, if someone were to sniff the traffic without a bunch of other hacks, they shouldn't be able to see the traffic.

most voip providers are starting to use sip as the standard protocol for voip sessions, tls can also be used to secure that session, but i don't think most providers use that
