I bought my girlfriend's dad a HL21. I was able to play around with it for a bit, it was really light and comfortable. I got it mostly cause it was the best I could find in that price range. ($35)

26650 is roughly 26x65mm. i took it out tonight around a frozen lake, was lighting up much more than my sunwayman v20a with a 14500. as far as heat goes earlier in the day i put a piece of paper against the lens for about a minute, it got fairly warm to the touch. i could leave it on inside for a while, but it is too cold outside for it to heat up at all.

I went through all of what you said. The part I had never thought of in the way you put it was the last paragraph on emotional release. That is exactly what happened to me many times. I live with bipolar and it was only amplified. Thank you for sharing.

Reception is near perfect, It blips every few minutes on one of the channels. It is a channelmaster, I got it used from a friend.
