Yeah I know that feeling, couple friends of mine were talking about magic and then warhammer on Sunday and being very condescending. I explained I enjoy it and why I got into it and offered them a chance to try as well. It made them stop (their answer was a no), and they moved on.

D&D, Warhammer, Warmachine and Magic. It gets made fun of but you roll with it (hasn't made me angry for sure). You can explain why you enjoy it and they should respect that, ideally. Sometimes people are closed minded, so you just let them be and do what you want.

I was riding the train back home, carrying my leftover lunch when a lady approached me and asked for a bite of my food. It threw me off that she only wanted just a bite, so I gave her my food instead.

She ate my lunch happily but paused midway and asked if it was wrong of her for asking for my food. I have to admit that question threw me off, but responded with a no. Satisfied with that answer she continued on.

Another time a very drunk man got on the train in the morning, and proceeded to lecture us loudly about going after older woman and how to eat them out. He only hopped on for one stop, and as he was leaving he began to hit on a lady and said to "holla at him" as he left.
