I love Reddit, but sometimes I just don't get the obsession with rules and protocol, especially in this case. This person and her son did not have a place to sleep tonight and asked for our help. If she was lying, she was lying, but I doubt it. To me, it just seemed like a mother who had run out of options and turned to a large, charitable community for help and she got it. So, so what if this one slipped through the cracks of this Sub-Reddit's rules. A person asked for help from her fellow human beings and she received it, and when it is all said and done, that looks to be the Modus operandi of r/assistance, right?
