I believe the limiting factor there is linux driver support for the nvidia specific extensions in arm as well as other nvidia devices in the package, sound, video, etc etc. If these were to be supported by a distribution it probably wouldn't be all that difficult to install linux on your transformer.

This is the way of the world, though. ARM SOC powered laptops and tablets are where a number of linux distributions want to be. Cononical is already putting out press about their work on a full arm powered distro.

The bummer part is that asus is still very much in bed with microsoft for the majority of their product line. They would not want to jeopardize that relationship for the time being. Nvidia on the other hand is much more OS partner agnostic, so if nvidia decides to expect linux support for the tegra family soon™.

That would be pretty cool! I thought the flow of water from the bay into the lake was restricted then closed off entirely due to salinity problems in the lake. Maybe I need to do my own research.

I read a story a while back about how they were going to open up lake merrit so it actually flows into the bay again. This was being done to make the lake a bit more healthy and hopefully address the smell issue of very stale water.

I am wondering if this work was done, and that is how the jellyfish got in. Anyone know more about this?

Did you search for these processes on google? The first hits for both of these does a pretty good job of explaining what they are.

I can't quite explain why CPU usage is so high for these, but understanding what these are is a pretty good first step.

Its going to be interesting to see how much the carriers have been hamstringing android to guarantee people upgrade their phones every 18 months. If google can bring the last generation of motorola android phones up to current android release levels it will be obvious that it is the hardware makers not the carriers responsible for fracturing android.

If google can't get the last generation of motorola phones up to current release of android without breaking contract with the carriers we will know its the carriers.
