This was more of teachers and the principle. This was in 4th grade, I firget how old I was. The principle of our elementary was leaving and as a gift, the teachers purchased a framed certificate thanking her for all the years she had been there. So all the faculty members signed it followed by us, the student body. Me and my friend were last to sign it. The teacher had told us not to write our names bigger than so much, but there were alwayd those rebels who wanted to do otherwise. Me and my friend wrote our names at the same size as all the other good kids, with an exception, we wrote our nicknames, they involved snails (we were interested in snails back then). A week later, the teacher takes us aside before recess (oh the glry days with recess), and says "I saw what you guys did, the way you guys wrote your names, it is unacceptable and inappropriate. You guys will have to talk with the principle." The new principle came in, five minutes into recess and scolded us for being rebels, "This is unacceptable! Look at this, you ruined the whole certificate, what is this? Snail- uhh, what does this mean? Do you think its funny? Well its not!" I then tried to point out that it was our nicknames and that there were other children with ridiculously big writing. But she just shushed me, and after a long lecture she made us write an essay, saying how sorry we were. Being crafty, I bullshitted the hole thing being angry and then at the bottomw wrote in small writing that it wasnt our fault. From then om, I never allowed anyone to unfairly accuse me again or shut me up without listening to me first.
