Try disabling RES. For me that fixed a bugged image link.

I had one messing up and I disabled RES. Then it was pointing to the correct image. With RES enabled the reddit post was giving a completely different URL.

You are only matched based on your MMR (match-making rating). Number of total wins has nothing to do with it. As you lose your rating will drop and you'll get easier opponents. Just be patient with it.

And as an aside someone can have 700 total wins by playing forever and still be really bad.

Blackstar9000 made a pretty good post summarizing Low Investment Material (LIM) a while back and I assume that it's a well known principle now, but maybe I assume incorrectly?

I like to think that we have an okay balance in /r/starcraft now with our relevance rule (basically link submissions must have some StarCraft content in the link itself, the title doesn't count... so you can't just link to a random fry meme). We still get a number of popular image submissions but we get a lot of other stuff about actual things happening in the game and the community.

All of the celebrity drama posts are another thing entirely, but at least those generate a lot of community discussion.
