But if the test were, quite simply, do you "really, really want to be a parent?," than yes, I would support that. Parenting is hard and if you don't really want to do it, then please don't.

That's how brick & mortars stay open. They are inefficient but convenient, and a good one should be able to provide better customer service than the internet (obviously not all can/do). What you are paying for is a) the ability to have it now, and b) someone who can tell you what you need, why something is better or not, etc. If you don't need either, then buy online. If you do need either, then pay for it - it's not free.

16 gb iphone isn't quite enough. 32 gb iPad is never a problem. 64 gb is IMO only for either a) primary computer or b) you travel a lot / away from hub, c) you shoot A LOT of video and can't dump it soon d) money no object. Particularly with iTunes match, space is less important than it was during the iPod days.

I was wondering about this. My guess is that the remote for the TV apple makes (I think it's inevitable) will either a) be kinect-like, or b) kind of like a magic track pad with an accelerometer / gyroscope in it for gaming. Maybe a button or two. Also, you'll be able to use your iPhone/ipad as remote / controller.

Check out the rocky mountain institute for hope and inspiration. YouTube Amory Lovins or watch his Ted talk. Smart people are working on this problem. Don't be complacent. This is real and you can be a leader during the energy transition. Probably make some bank in the process.

Would I pay more for an iPhone that was assembled in a plant with better working conditions that paid a living wage? Yes. Would I pay more for a phone that was designed and built with sustainable practices in mind? Absolutely. Does that mean making it in America? Not necessarily. My concern isn't American or Chinese jobs. It's humane business practices and the concern is that China does not have them.

It's up to our offensive line. They protect Brady and give him time then the offense will move methodically, control the ball, and own the clock. No sacks on Brady, pats win by 17+. Even if the patriots defense does an average job we still win if Brady has time.

If you were on reddit the day after the iPad came out when everyone was pooping all over it, I wrote the "you are wrong about the iPad" post arguing why I thought it would be successful.

Still, jailbreaking is deliberate. You don't accidentally jailbreak your phone. You don't download an app and find out the next day that app secretly jailbroke your phone. Point is, jailbreaking isn't malware. Now, if someone could jailbreak your phone remotely without your consent, you would have a point.

Jailbreaking is deliberately moving outside the walled garden. iOS users are not exposing themselves to malware unless they choose to. There is no malware in the ios app store. There is malware in the android marketplace. It's a significant difference.
