My cousin who is a diabetic( type II) insists that he knows more about the type of foods he eats and how to control his blood sugar. His blood sugar is consistently over 200. Not mention I do diabetes counseling for a living

Portion control is very important some people don't have idea on how much they should eat daily. I think the big issue is the type of food people are eating. High Fructose Corn Syrup is a very dangerous and causes problems within the body.

It depends on the athlete that is training Tall people with long limbs and short spine( usually basketball players) they are not particularly good at squatting do to bio mechanical issue( causes a lot of back pain) so they do other variations such as RFESS(rear foot elevated split squats), Front squats, or pistol squats. If your already strong enough in your sport it becomes more about preparing your body for the long season with proper sport specific and functional exercises.

I was a kid in the park shooting basketball until this older gentlemen came over and started showing me how to shoot and play ball Every Saturday he was at the park and he would put me through drills. I later found out he was a retired basketball coach. He continued to help improve and I got a scholarship to a division 1 school played ball Earned a degree and now my life a lot better off for his kindness. He would not take any payment from me or my family.

TL:DR Man in park teaches me how to play basketball and betters my life

Can you swim? If yes starting swimming Also get If you have a bike start cycling.( I had surgery on my menicus as well helped me out a lot) Light weight training and running in the pool helps a lot but don't push yourself too much. Remember a big factor for injury is previous injury
