I'm an IT major. I'm not retarded.
I use common sense on the internet. I don't use AVs, and I havent EVER had a virus. I DO however run occasional Mbam and CCleaner runs, host file hardening with Spybot, combined with a fully fortified Firefox. Still don't need an AV for my personal computers though because I'm not retarded.
For OTHER people (like yourself), I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials (as does my work, a university IT help desk, recommends). Avast (and AVG) sucks and has gotten bloated as all fuck over the years.

Really disagree with that, nearly every game I've played has had a ridiculously fed Darius on either team (sometimes both), he's broken as all fuck and is a senseless moneygrab from Riot.

If you want to upgrade to 10.7 from 10.6, you have to buy it in the Mac App Store. It is not currently the only way to get Mac software, but it is the encouraged way and it is heavily restrictive.

The file is burnable to a disc, and you can always download it from..."elsewhere" because it has no DRM (still illegal, but it shows how easy it is to get it)
