Liberal gun owners - how do you feel about the NRA?

I'm not liberal, I'm a socialist. But I think the NRA is making things far worse for gun owners by linking guns to a certain set of political and social values that are old fashioned and doomed to a continued decrease in popularity.

I think I have a better example of what you have a problem - congressmen and women who defend their own state-provided coverage but vote against the public option or universal coverage.

The larger issue is that government provided programs are examples of what the conservative party thinks socialism is, but it's not actually socialism. It sounds a bit like you've been led astray by the crazies calling Obama a socialist - they aren't simply exaggerating. The issue is that their claims have no basis in reality.

You can have all the government handouts and programs you can think of, but it will still be a capitalist economy. This is called a social democracy, or a welfare state.

Socialism is worker control over the means of production.

Why it's a bad idea:

I work at an equipment rental location. We've had several people bring back lighting kits they attacked with flour, baby powder, and various other things they photographed. Invariably, it results in shorting out the lights and costing them a ton of money.

The quality isn't bad. Since you apparently aren't willing to look, here is a write-up of the manufacturer.

If you don't like the watch, that's fine. Some people are into much more modern, complex looks. I'm not. But saying "it's a waste of money" makes no sense (I doubt you could find any watch for $16, much less one that has lasted several decades and will last many more).

Try to be a little more constructive.

This isn't true. Precincts that were still doing quota were cracked down on years ago.

There is unspoken pressure to get a certain number of tickets, but it's not clearly outlined like your post suggests.

The majority of drunk driving happens in smaller urban areas - no public transportation, but hardly "gravel roads" either. People are still somewhat forced into it by our ridiculous system, but it's still incredibly dangerous - probably more dangerous than doing it in the city because of the higher speed of less congested roads.

On the left, narrow down the options - Men's, Mechanical (under movement), and both vintage categories (1920-1970, and 1970-1983). Then set a price ceiling.

I agree with you. I used no caffeine from 13 to 20 by choice. Now, it's rare if I use it more than once a week.
