It's actually uncensored I think (haven't come across anything I couldn't download). I've only downloaded a couple ... Linux Distributions (tv shows) with no problems. I get most of my Linux distributions from rapidshare and the like.

Now, my ISP (PenTeleData) offers a complimentary 10GB of usenet transfer per month. Is this safe? Should I download anything from this, or are they sniffing it?

I have a friend who is heavily into WoW. I think he has like 100 days logged so far, starting his subscription less than 2 or 1.5 years ago. Is there any advice you would give to a person like this? Or someone who just started WoW? Thanks

Vermont first state in nation to ban fracking for oil and gas by al4nin politics

So you're arguing that having a natural resource (natural gas) under your property will decrease your property value? That's not what I have experienced. I live in Northeast PA and land prices here have skyrocketed after the Marcellus Shale gas was discovered.

What is going to be the next big innovation in phones? by doniesin Android

[–]cisasteelersfan 0 points1 point ago

I'm really hoping the next innovation is cheaper plans. Verizon, AT&T, someone needs to offer an unlimited (or high cap) data plan for cheap. Until then... PagePlus

If you go with Verizon/AT&T, yes, you do get raped. I'm getting out of a Verizon contract in about a week and switching to PagePlus with a Droid X. For $30 a month I'll get 100mb of data... yay. I just can't afford the $100+ a month on Verizon

[Pre-Calculus - Probability] Select the probability that you will encounter two red lights in a row out of five traffic signal lights. Assume red, green, and yellow are equally likely occurrences. by cisasteelersfanin cheatatmathhomework

This is absolutely genius. Thanks so much for taking the time to write all those programs! Just so you know, I get the same result for the two last programs (32/243). I'm not very experienced at all with C++, I didn't know you could have multiple for loops like that.

Thanks again!

Yes, it must be that we have aren't on the same page when it comes to the specifics of the question. Maybe I should modify this code just slightly so that "count" only advances when "counter == 1". That way it would only count two red lights in a row.

Thanks! I love using programming to check my math and probabilities.

I'm sorry if it's not clear, but I included the line:

    if(counter>=1){count++;}

so that if it's all red lights (all variables are 0) then it advances "count". "counter" is essentially just a temporary variable that gets reinitialized every time.

In a particular run, what if: a == 0 and b == 0, and d == 0 and e == 0? So, in a particular event, in this run, your counter will go up twice, where in reality the question only ones it to go up once.

I thought about this a lot. That's why I included the line:

    if(counter>=1){count++;}

This means that the variable counter is just temporary - "count" is the final. If counter>=1 then it advances count. So if all traffic lights are red (all 0's) then it only counts it once.

Sorry that my code is not very clear!
