Last week, CNN hit a new milestone -- they had its lowest-rated weekday primetime in 20 years in terms of total viewers. by ServerGeekin entertainment

I got laid off 3 weeks ago so I have plenty of free time during the day. Being from Chicago, I thought I'd tune into some NATO coverage when the local news cut out after Obama's speech. Naturally, I headed to CNN and they were talking about Facebook.

What do you think will happen first: Sonny will hit the ball out of the infield on a fly (tee or not), or someone else will leave a boxed or bagged food item open in the studio overnight?

Noah returned in the third quarter and scored, but it didn't appear he would be able to play much the rest of the way. He was taken out with eight minutes left in the quarter and was ruled out for the rest of the game. espn

Actually he just couldn't move laterally at all and he went to the bench with 7:32 left I believe. At that point we had a sizeable lead.

According to quite a few sources, it kind of is. It seems that the blanket Islamic laws of the UAE do not entirely apply to Dubai in an attempt to merge Islamic law with more modern laws so as to be more friendly to international business.

"When advising clients, I always inform them that UAE courts will pass judgment according to Sharia in the absence of a provision of UAE law covering the issue on which they are in front of the courts."1

Dubai and Ras al Khaimah are the only emirates that do not conform to the federal judicial system of the United Arab Emirates. The emirate's judicial courts comprise the Court of First Instance, the Court of Appeal, and the Court of Cassation. The Court of First Instance consists of the Civil court, which hears all civil claims; the Criminal Court, which hears claims originating from police complaints; and Sharia Court, which is responsible for matters between Muslims. Non-Muslims do not appear before the Sharia Court.2

Non-Muslims are required to respect Sharia law in Dubai and conduct themselves accordingly.3

Do you have anything that says otherwise? This was just my understanding.

**EDIT - I also confirmed with a friend who works for an option trading house in London who has spent time in Dubai that yes, they are under Sharia law.

Why would anyone go anywhere under Sharia law?

Here's what I was told concerning our playoff hopes over the past year by chrisskinrin chicago

It would be bittersweet to see Rose get a ring without having played in the playoffs. I wanted to see the look on Lebron's face when he realized he wasn't going to win a championship with DRose and the Bulls around. Now if we lose I'm going to need Durant and co. to buy us another year.

Right? It would be awesome for hockey too but even for baseball and football you could have a static camera view where it was like sitting at the game. Perhaps even pick your seat.

I really would love a tv big enough to broadcast an entire basketball court where you could watch the game without camera movements.

Here is the Chili's knockoff recipe: I know I'm not original. I saute some red and green peppers, onions as well, and add them to the tomatoes. When everything is ready, I mix them all in a bowl and let settle a little bit so the sauce thickens up, sprinlking some cheese in as well to melt in the mix. In that bottom pic I sprinkled some chopped habaneros up as well because I love heat.
