Depending on where you have been before Lawton can be pretty disappointing. I have been at Ft. Sill for a little over a year. The post is small compared to ones like Hood, Drum, Bliss, but it has everything you would expect like PX and a decent commissary. The wildlife refuge is nice to visit depending on your hobbies. Like gleenglass stated Medicine Park is a lovely area. Oklahoma city is not too far of a drive. Wichita falls is even closer. Post has a very nice golf course. On the weekends a trip to Dallas/Ft. Worth is great.
